About This Course

Become a sustainability champion! Learn about sustainability and everyday actions you can take in the Greener Apron course through meaningful and creative online lessons. You will start by learning more about global environmental challenges and how different actors are leading with solutions. You will also get insight into how Starbucks is working every day to advance sustainable practices globally. . Finally, you will see some ideas for making a change in your own lives that you can share with your friends, families, and communities. We hope you will leave this course ready to practice sustainability on the job, in your home and in your neighborhood-- and have a cool Greener Apron pin to show for it! Plus, once you are a certified Greener Apron partner, unlock access to community events and exclusive opportunities for service and leadership.

This course will take you approximately 5 hours to complete.

Learners who complete this course will earn a digital certificate of completion and a digital badge.

Starbucks Coffee Company Environmental Impact Team

The Starbucks Environmental Impact team is a group of individuals with backgrounds in business, supply chain, operations, and public policy, all of whom have a passion for sustainability. The Environmental Impact team supports Starbucks global efforts in greener stores, power, and packaging, as well as the Greener Apron program. Located at the Starbucks Support Center (SSC) in Seattle, Washington, USA, the team works to advance Starbucks’ Greener Retail initiatives in all of the communities in which we operate. They are passionate about empowering partners to make sustainable choices in everyday life and it is because of the passion of our partners that the team has collaborated with ASU to create this program.

Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives
Arizona State University

The Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives team is a diverse group of committed academic leaders, business professionals and international specialists with a laser focus on improving sustainability worldwide. Working with clients, students, fellows and partners, the team focuses the immense knowledge assets of Arizona State University on the social, environmental and economic sustainability challenges people across the globe face daily.
